Privacy policy

In general you can visit our website without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself. If, however, you purchase goods from www.Trade-Hinges.co.uk you will be asked to provide your contact and delivery details. We do not store any of your financial details including your credit or debit card information

We do not provide, share, sell, distribute or lease your information to third parties unless required by law to do so. We may occasionally use your personal information to advise you of money saving offers which we think you may find interesting.

Our website may contain links to enable you to visit other websites of interest easily. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

Security

We endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information. We will not be responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence or wilful default.

Card payment on www.Trade-Hinges.co.uk uses 128-bit encryption. Your personal details are entered directly onto our payment processing companies' 128-bit encrypted pages. Your credit and debit card details are not seen or held on our system; therefore we do not store any of your financial details.

Making a Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. Delivery

Goods are normally dispatched the same working day and delivered the next business weekday unless otherwise requested, (Saturday delivery may be available at additional cost). During busy periods, delivery may take longer. Delivery is by Royal Mail or courier between 8:00am and 5:00pm to your cards registered address. If your delivery is outside the United Kingdom you may be subject to import duties and/or taxes. All charges of this nature shall be borne by you.

A statutory cooling off period of 7 days applies to all orders in accordance with The Consumer Protection Regulations 2000.

Damages or shortages

Any damages or shortages need to be advised to us within 3 days of receipt of your order. For any damage claims, we require pictures of the 

• External packaging of delivery 

• Internal packaging of delivery 

• Image of the carrier label on the box 

If these are not available we will not be able to progress your claim. The damaged items and packaging need to be retained by you, until advised. 

Back Orders

In the event that your chosen product is out of stock you will be notified as soon as possible. You may cancel your order at this point or we can place your chosen product on back-order for delivery in the future.

Returns

We hope you will be delighted with your purchases, however if within the first 7 working days after receipt the Goods are not as described, you may return them to us. Simply contact us to arrange for a returns form and to let us know when to expect the items back. We only ask they are returned unused and packaged appropriately to avoid damage. Choose between an exchange or refund.

Faulty or Defective Item(s)

Please call customer services on: 01924 264 545 or email us at: sales@trade-hinges.co.uk stating the item(s) you are returning and reason for the return including whether you want an exchange or refund. In the case of a damaged product please send an image where possible.

If the item is damaged or faulty, then we will arrange collection of the product from you (and delivery of a replacement,) if applicable.

Should there be any problems with the replacements, we will advise you as soon as possible. Delivery of replacements will be made to the original delivery address unless otherwise advised.

Returns Due to Unwanted Goods

We will wherever possible assist you by taking back any goods providing they are received back in good re-saleable condition and meet the following returns criteria:
Goods must have been supplied by us during the last 14 days, be in their original condition with box, goods must be fit for re-sale, if not goods will be refused by Trade-Hinges and returned to sender.

Please contact Trade-Hinges prior to returning goods. Credit can only be issued for goods returned as authorised following receipt of a completed returns form in good re-saleable condition; the original postage paid cannot be refunded. If we have originally waived delivery charges, you will be liable for the original cost of us sending the items to you.
